Compatibility

Sea Sierra 13" propeller guard is compatible with 40-65HP outboard motors from various brands including Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, BRP, and Suzuki, suitable for pontoon and deck boats, and other vessels not exceeding 25 mph. It fits propellers up to 10.5 inches, such as Yamaha, Suzuki, Mercury, Honda (40, 50, 60, 65HP). Note: Not suitable for Big Foot and High Thrust models, which require a 14-inch propeller guard.

Sea Sierra Prop Guard Installation Instructions

Tools Needed:

  • Drill with a 5/16″ bit
  • 9 sets of bolts (6 sets for the upper section, 3 sets for the lower section)

Steps:

  1. Position the guard on the underside of the cavitation plate, ensuring equal distance between the guard and the propeller during rotation.
  2. Position the guard as far forward on the cavitation plate as possible.
  3. Remove the trim tab under the cavitation plate before installation (applicable for 9″, 11″, 13″, 14″ guards).
  4. Drill 6 holes through the cavitation plate and guard on each side, insert bolts, washers, and Nyloc nuts, and loosely tighten.
  5. Drill a hole through the lower skeg as illustrated, insert the bolt, washer, and Nyloc nut, and tighten securely.
  6. Tighten the bolts on the cavitation plate.
