Installation Notes

Disconnect the spark plug leads and shift the outboard into neutral.
Remove the lower unit (gearcase) by unfastening the mounting bolts.
Unbolt and remove the old water pump housing assembly from the driveshaft.
Thoroughly clean the driveshaft and the housing mounting surface, removing any old gasket material or corrosion.
Install the new components in the reverse order of removal, starting with the wear plate, gasket, and impeller. Lightly lubricate the interior of the housing and the impeller.
Align the new housing and impeller over the driveshaft and secure it with the new bolts. Torque to manufacturer specifications.
Reinstall the lower unit, ensuring the driveshaft and water tube are correctly aligned.
Reconnect the spark plug leads and test the engine in a suitable water source, verifying a strong tell-tale stream.
