Compatibility

Sea Sierra 11" propeller guard is suitable for 25 to 35 HP outboard motors, fitting models from various brands including Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, BRP, and Suzuki. It is designed for propellers up to 10.5 inches in diameter, except for Big Foot and High Thrust models which require a 13-inch guard.

Sea Sierra Prop Guard Installation Instructions

Tools Needed:

• Drill with 5/16″ bit
• 7 sets of bolts

For 11″ Propeller Cover:

• 4 sets of bolts are needed for the upper section
• 3 sets of bolts are needed for the lower section

Installation Steps:

1. Place the propeller guard on the underside of the cavitation plate, ensuring equal distance between the guard and the prop when the propeller revolves inside the guard.
2. Position the guard as far forward on the cavitation plate as possible.
3. Remove the trim tab under cavitation before installation for 9″, 11″, 13″, 14″ guards.
4. Drill 4 holes through the cavitation plate and guard on each side, inserting bolts, washers, and Nyloc nuts as illustrated, and loosely tighten.
5. Drill 1 hole through the lower skeg per illustration, inserting bolt, washer, and Nyloc nut, and tighten securely.
6. Tighten cavitation bolts.
