Product Details

This Water Pump Impeller Kit is an aftermarket replacement solution for marine raw-water and engine-cooling pump applications. It is intended for pumps using the listed dimensions, 12-spline drive, and compatible cross-reference numbers. Applications may include Johnson F6B-9 V8 pumps, Indmar Monsoon 320–350 HP engines, and selected Volvo Penta, Yanmar, and Yamaha systems.

Use the part-number matrix and technical specifications to confirm compatibility with the existing impeller and pump before ordering. Cross-reference numbers include Johnson 09-812B-1, Jabsco 13554-0001-P, Yanmar 119773-42600, Yamaha 6TA-12457-00, and Sierra 18-3306.

  • Direct-replacement style installation for compatible water pumps.
  • Neoprene impeller construction for marine cooling applications.
  • 12-spline brass hub for secure pump engagement.
  • Includes the impeller and the listed sealing and service components.

Installation Notes

  1. Disconnect the boat’s battery to prevent accidental starting.
  2. Close the raw-water intake seacock to stop water flow.
  3. Place absorbent pads under the pump to catch spills.
  4. Remove the water-pump cover-plate screws.
  5. Note the rotational direction of the old impeller blades before removing the impeller.
  6. Clean and inspect the pump housing for scoring, debris, or other damage.
  7. Lightly lubricate the new impeller and housing with a suitable marine lubricant.
  8. Insert the new impeller with a twisting motion, bending the blades in the correct direction for pump rotation.
  9. Install the new gasket or O-ring on a clean sealing surface.
  10. Reinstall the cover plate and tighten the screws evenly in a star pattern.
  11. Open the seacock and reconnect the battery.
  12. Start the engine and immediately check for adequate water flow and leaks around the pump.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I know if this impeller fits my engine?

Match the original impeller or pump part number with the references in the Part Number Matrix. Also compare the diameter, width, shaft diameter, blade count, hub, and drive type. Model names alone are not sufficient because pump configurations can vary by year and application.

What are common signs of a failing impeller?

Common signs include engine temperatures rising above normal, reduced water flow from the exhaust outlet, overheating, or visible cracks, deformation, and missing blades when the old impeller is inspected.

How often should I replace the impeller?

Impeller service intervals depend on operating hours, storage conditions, and water quality. Many marine service programs replace impellers every one to two years or approximately every 100–200 hours, but the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule should take priority.

Is this an OEM part?

This listing is for an aftermarket replacement kit, not an OEM component. Confirm the dimensions and cross-reference number before installation.

What should I do if the replacement does not match?

Do not force an impeller into a pump with a different hub, spline, diameter, or width. Compare the original part with the specifications above and contact support before installation if the parts do not match.

Are shipping and returns available?

Shipping options and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Returns must comply with the applicable store policy and may require the item to be unused and in its original condition.

Safety & Important Information

  • Verify the images, dimensions, drive configuration, and part-number references against the original part before purchase.
  • Do not operate the engine without confirming that the seacock is open and the cooling-water system is functioning.
  • Replace the impeller if it has damaged or missing blades, and inspect the pump housing for debris or damage.
  • This is an aftermarket replacement, not an OEM component.
  • Professional installation is recommended when pump access, engine service, or cooling-system diagnosis is uncertain.
