Installation Notes

1. Disconnect the battery and remove the engine cover.
2. Shift the outboard into neutral and remove the bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase) to the engine.
3. Carefully lower the gearcase away from the engine.
4. Remove the old water pump housing, impeller, gaskets, and wear plate. Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly.
5. Install the new lower gasket, wear plate, and impeller key onto the driveshaft.
6. Slide the new impeller onto the driveshaft, turning clockwise to seat the blades correctly.
7. Install the new housing, O-rings, seals, and gaskets as included in the kit.
8. Lightly grease the inside of the housing and re-secure it.
9. Re-install the lower unit, ensuring the driveshaft, shift shaft, and water tube align correctly.
10. Reconnect the battery and test the engine in water, confirming a steady stream of water from the tell-tale port.
