Installation Notes
- Disconnect the battery and follow the engine manufacturer's service-safety procedures.
- Remove the propeller if required for safe access and drain the gearcase oil according to the service manual.
- Unbolt and carefully lower the gearcase from the driveshaft housing.
- Locate and remove the existing water-pump housing and related components.
- Remove the old impeller, cup, gaskets and grommet. Note the direction of the impeller vanes before removal.

- Reinstall the gearcase, ensuring the driveshaft, shift shaft and water tube are correctly aligned.
- Refill the gearcase with the specified lubricant and reinstall the propeller.
- Test the engine in a test tank or with an appropriate flushing device before returning the boat to service. Confirm a steady cooling-water discharge and check for leaks or overheating.
