Installation Notes

1. Work in a well-ventilated area away from flames, sparks, and other ignition sources.
2. Stop the engine, allow it to cool, and disconnect the battery if required by the engine manufacturer’s service procedure.
3. Relieve fuel-system pressure and place absorbent material beneath the pump and fuel lines.
4. Mark the inlet and outlet hose positions before removing the original pump.
5. Disconnect the fuel hoses and remove the original pump from its mounting location.
6. Inspect the hoses, clamps, sealing surfaces, and mounting hardware. Replace damaged or worn items before installation.
7. Install the replacement pump in the same orientation as the original and secure it using suitable hardware.
