Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I confirm that this connector fits my engine?

Confirm the exact engine model, year, horsepower, stroke, hose size, engine-side fitting, and original reference number. The connector is listed for compatible Yamaha 6–90 HP applications, but horsepower by itself does not establish fitment.

What part number is this connector intended to replace?

The primary replacement reference is Yamaha 6G1-24305. Yamaha 655-24305 and other aftermarket numbers may appear in application listings, so compare the physical part and fitting before ordering.

What are signs of a failing fuel connector?

Common signs include fuel leakage, air entering the fuel system, difficult starting, engine stalling, a loose connection, cracks, or a brittle connector body.

Is a hose clamp included?

No. This listing includes one fuel connector only. Use a properly sized fuel-line clamp or a serviceable existing clamp suitable for your hose and fuel system.

Is this an OEM part?

No. This is an aftermarket replacement connector intended for applications using the compatible fitting and hose configuration.

Can I use this with ethanol-blended fuel?

Confirm material compatibility with your fuel type and engine manufacturer requirements before use. Replace the connector if it becomes soft, swollen, cracked, or otherwise deteriorated.

How often should I inspect the connector?

Inspect the connector and fuel hose before each boating season and whenever the fuel system is serviced. Replace it promptly if you find leakage, cracks, hardening, swelling, or a loose fit.

What are the shipping and warranty terms?

Shipping, returns, and warranty coverage are governed by the applicable store policies shown at checkout or on the policy page. Contact support with your order details if assistance is needed.

Safety & Important Information

  • Fuel is flammable. Work away from flames, sparks, hot surfaces, and other ignition sources.
  • Verify the connector, hose size, engine-side fitting, and reference number against your original part before purchase and installation.
  • Do not operate the engine if any fuel leak is present.
  • This is an aftermarket replacement, not an OEM component.
  • Professional installation is recommended when you are unsure about fuel-system service.
