Product Details

This cartridge fuel filter is an aftermarket replacement for selected gasoline fuel systems on Yamaha, Mercury, Mariner, Suzuki and Tohatsu outboard motors. It is intended to help remove fuel-system contaminants before fuel reaches the engine. Always compare the original filter, connections, dimensions and applicable engine information before ordering.

The filter is listed as an interchange for the OEM and aftermarket references shown below. These references are provided for identification and cross-reference purposes; they do not replace confirmation of the exact engine model, year, stroke, serial range and fuel-system configuration.

  • Cartridge-style filter for selected outboard gasoline applications.
  • Clear housing supports visual inspection for visible debris or contamination.
  • Designed for in-line installation where the original filter uses the same connection and flow arrangement.

Part Number Matrix

Compare the number on your existing filter with the applicable reference for your engine.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

How do I confirm fitment?

Compare the original filter’s part number, housing and connections with the references and application information above. Confirm the exact engine model, year, stroke and serial range in the manufacturer’s service or parts information. Do not rely on horsepower alone.

What are common signs that a fuel filter needs replacement?

Possible symptoms include difficult starting, rough idle, hesitation, sputtering at higher speed or loss of power. Visible debris or contamination in a clear filter housing can also indicate that service is needed.

How often should the filter be replaced?

Replacement intervals vary by engine, fuel quality, storage conditions and the manufacturer’s service schedule. Inspect and replace the filter according to the engine owner’s or service manual rather than relying on a universal interval.

Is this filter for diesel fuel?

No. This listing is for selected gasoline-powered outboard fuel systems. Do not use it with diesel fuel unless the engine manufacturer specifically approves the application.

Is this an OEM filter?

This is an aftermarket replacement. The listed OEM and aftermarket numbers are reference numbers used to help identify compatible applications; the product is not represented as a genuine OEM component.

What are the shipping and return terms?

Shipping availability, delivery estimates and return eligibility are determined by the order destination and the current store policies. Review the applicable checkout and policy information before ordering.

Safety and Important Information

  • Work in a well-ventilated area away from flames, sparks and other ignition sources.
  • Use appropriate eye and skin protection when handling gasoline.
  • Verify the filter direction, connections and application before starting the engine.
  • Stop immediately and correct the issue if any fuel leak is found after installation.
  • Professional installation is recommended when the correct procedure is unclear.
