Product Details

This aftermarket inline fuel filter is designed for selected Suzuki 4-stroke outboard engines from DF25 through DF140 and Johnson/Evinrude 4-stroke outboards from 25 HP through 70 HP. It is intended to help remove fuel-system contaminants before fuel reaches the engine.

Use the original filter, engine model, model year, and serial number to confirm compatibility before ordering. The filter is sold as a single replacement filter.

  • Aftermarket replacement fuel filter for gasoline outboard fuel systems.
  • Inline installation in the engine fuel line.
  • Barbed hose connections for a clamp-secured fuel-line installation.
  • Replaces the listed Suzuki, Johnson/Evinrude, and aftermarket references where the application matches.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × Inline fuel filter

Hose clamps and other installation hardware are not specified as included. Reuse suitable hardware only if it is in good condition and appropriate for marine fuel-line service.

Installation Notes

  1. Work outdoors or in a well-ventilated area with the engine stopped and cool. Keep flames, sparks, and ignition sources away from fuel.
  2. Disconnect the battery and relieve fuel-system pressure according to the engine manufacturer’s service procedure.
  3. Locate the existing filter and note the direction of the fuel-flow arrow before removal.
  4. Place an approved container or absorbent material beneath the filter to catch spilled fuel.
  5. Loosen the hose clamps and remove the fuel lines from the old filter.
  6. Install the replacement filter in the same fuel-flow direction and attach the fuel lines fully onto the barbed fittings.
  7. Position and tighten suitable fuel-line clamps without damaging the hose or filter fittings.
  8. Prime the fuel system according to the engine instructions, then inspect all connections for leaks before starting the engine.
  9. After starting, allow the engine to idle and check the filter and hose connections again for leakage.

Maintenance & FAQ

How do I confirm that this filter fits my engine?

Compare your existing filter’s part number with the references listed above, then confirm the engine brand, model, horsepower, stroke, year, and serial number. A part-number match alone may not establish every model-year application.

Does this filter fit all Johnson/Evinrude outboards from 25 to 140 HP?

No. The company catalog identifies the Johnson/Evinrude application as 25–70 HP 4-stroke. Do not extend that range to 90–140 HP without confirming the exact engine documentation and filter application.

Does this filter fit Suzuki DF25 through DF140?

It is associated with selected Suzuki DF25–DF140 4-stroke applications, including catalog occurrences for several DF model families. Verify the exact year and serial-number range because fitment can vary within a horsepower family.

Which way should the filter be installed?

Install the filter so the fuel-flow arrow points from the fuel tank toward the engine. If the replacement filter has no visible arrow, follow the orientation of the original filter and the engine service instructions.

What symptoms can indicate a restricted fuel filter?

Possible symptoms include hard starting, rough idle, hesitation, stalling, or reduced power under load. These symptoms can have other causes, so inspect the complete fuel system before replacing parts.

Safety Information

  • Fuel is flammable. Work in a ventilated area and prevent spills from contacting hot engine components.
  • Use fuel-rated hose clamps and components suitable for marine gasoline service.
  • Do not install the filter if its fittings, housing, or sealing surfaces are damaged.
  • Always verify the exact engine model and serial-number conditions before purchase and installation.
  • This is an aftermarket replacement and is not an OEM-branded component.
