Installation Notes

1. Disconnect the battery and place the engine in neutral.
2. Remove the lower unit according to the service procedure for your exact Suzuki model.
3. Remove the water pump housing cover and note the orientation of the original impeller vanes.
4. Remove the old impeller and drive key, then clean and inspect the pump housing.
5. Install the supplied drive key and fit the new impeller, orienting the vanes in the direction of engine rotation.
6. Inspect the housing, plate and gasket. Replace worn or damaged service parts as required; a gasket is not included with this item.
7. Reassemble the water pump and lower unit using the correct torque specifications for your engine.
8. Ensure the water tube and driveshaft are correctly aligned before tightening the lower-unit fasteners.
9. Run the engine only with an appropriate water supply and confirm a steady tell-tale stream before normal operation.
