Use the Suzuki service manual for the exact engine model for torque values, assembly order and model-specific procedures. If you are not experienced with lower-unit service, professional installation is recommended.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I confirm fitment?

Compare your exact Suzuki model, horsepower, stroke, year and original water-pump part number with the compatibility table. DF60 and DF70 are 4-stroke applications, while DT90 and DT100 are 2-stroke applications in the listed range. Do not rely on horsepower alone.

What are common signs of a failing water pump?

Common symptoms include a weak or intermittent tell-tale stream, an overheating warning, rising operating temperature or visible impeller wear. Inspect the complete pump assembly before installation.

How often should the impeller be replaced?

Replacement intervals depend on operating hours, storage conditions and whether the engine is used in saltwater, sand or silt. Inspect the impeller during scheduled maintenance and replace it whenever the vanes are cracked, hardened, deformed or worn.

Is the water-pump housing included?

No. This is a repair kit containing the listed service components. The metal or plastic water-pump housing is not included and must be reused only if it is within serviceable condition.

Can I reuse the old gaskets or wear plate?

Use the new gaskets and seals supplied with the kit. Inspect the wear plate carefully and replace it with the supplied part when applicable; a worn or scored plate can reduce pump performance and shorten impeller life.

Is this an OEM Suzuki part?

No. This is an aftermarket replacement kit intended for the listed applications. Suzuki, Sierra Marine and Mallory Marine names and part numbers are used only to identify compatible reference numbers where applicable.

What are the shipping and return terms?

Standard shipping and return availability are shown at checkout and are subject to the applicable store policy. Keep the product unused and in its original condition if a return is required.

Safety & Important Information

  • Verify the exact model, year, stroke and original part number before purchase.
  • Do not operate the engine if the cooling-water stream is weak or absent.
  • Inspect the water-pump housing and driveshaft seals during service; damaged parts may require separate replacement.
  • This is an aftermarket replacement and is not an OEM Suzuki component.
  • Follow the applicable Suzuki service manual and use professional installation if needed.
