What's in the Box

  • 1 x Carburetor assembly

Mounting gaskets, additional service parts and engine-specific hardware are not confirmed as included. Reuse or replace these items according to the engine manufacturer's service requirements.

Installation Notes

  1. Turn the engine off, allow it to cool and disconnect the fuel supply before beginning work.
  2. Document the routing and adjustment of the fuel lines, throttle linkage and choke connections before removing the original carburetor.
  3. Disconnect the fuel lines and linkages, then remove the mounting hardware. Prevent debris from entering the intake.
  4. Clean the mounting surface and install a suitable new gasket if the original gasket is damaged or the service procedure requires replacement.
  5. Install the replacement assembly in the same orientation as the original and tighten the mounting hardware to the engine manufacturer's specification.
  6. Reconnect the fuel lines, throttle linkage and choke connections. Confirm that the throttle returns freely to the idle position.
  7. Prime the fuel system and inspect all connections for leaks before starting the engine.
  8. Start the engine in a safe, properly ventilated area and verify idle, throttle response and fuel-system sealing. Do not change jets or mixture settings unless directed by the applicable service procedure.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I confirm fitment?

Compare the complete engine model and serial information, the number on your original carburetor and the physical mounting and linkage arrangement with the information above. Horsepower alone is not sufficient to confirm fitment.

Does this carburetor include a gasket?

A mounting gasket is not confirmed as included with this listing. Inspect the existing gasket and follow the applicable service procedure when selecting a replacement.

Will adjustment be required after installation?

Check the engine's idle speed, throttle operation and fuel-system sealing after installation. Any adjustment must follow the manufacturer's specifications for the exact engine model.

What symptoms may indicate a carburetor problem?

Hard starting, unstable idle, stalling, poor acceleration, fuel leakage and inconsistent operation can be associated with a contaminated, worn or incorrectly adjusted carburetor. Check the complete fuel and ignition systems before replacing parts.

Can I clean the original carburetor instead?

Cleaning may help when the problem is caused by deposits or restricted passages. Replacement may be appropriate when the body, throttle components, needle-and-seat assembly or other internal parts are damaged or excessively worn.

Is this an OEM part?

No. This is an aftermarket replacement assembly intended to correspond to the listed manufacturer references. It is not sold as a genuine Tohatsu, Nissan or Mercury-branded component.

Safety & Important Information

  • Use the exact engine model and serial information when confirming compatibility.
  • Compare the replacement assembly with the original part before installation.
  • Work only on a cool engine in a well-ventilated area and keep fuel away from ignition sources.
  • Professional installation is recommended if you are not familiar with outboard fuel-system service.
  • Do not operate the engine if fuel leaks are present or if the throttle does not return freely.
