Installation Notes
- Disconnect the battery, switch off the engine and allow it to cool completely.
- Follow the engine manufacturer's instructions for draining gear lubricant if required for lower-unit removal.
- Remove the propeller as appropriate and remove the lower-unit fasteners.
- Carefully separate the lower unit from the driveshaft housing while supporting its weight.
- Remove the water-pump housing and retain components needed for comparison.
