Installation Notes

1. Disconnect the battery and remove the engine cover.
2. Locate and unbolt the lower unit (gearcase) from the upper engine housing.
3. Carefully lower the gearcase to access the water pump assembly.
4. Remove the water pump housing bolts and lift the housing to expose the old impeller.
5. Remove the old impeller, key, O-ring, and any gaskets. Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly.
6. Install the new components from the kit. Lightly lubricate the impeller and housing interior.
7. Reinstall the pump housing, ensuring a proper seal. Tighten bolts to the manufacturer's torque specs.
8. Re-install the lower unit, making sure the water tube, driveshaft, and shift shaft are correctly aligned.
9. Once assembled, test the engine in water to confirm a strong, steady stream from the tell-tale port.
