What’s in the Box
- 1 x Impeller F8B (Replaces 09-1029B)
- 1 x Gasket/O-ring Set

Installation Notes
- Shut off the engine, close the raw water seacock, and allow the system to cool completely.
- Locate the raw water pump and remove the cover plate screws to access the old impeller.
- Carefully remove the old impeller. Using impeller pullers or two flathead screwdrivers can help, but avoid gouging the pump housing.
- Clean the inside of the pump housing and inspect it for scoring, debris, or significant wear.
- Install the new gasket or O-ring on the pump cover. Ensure the sealing surfaces are clean.
- Lightly coat the inside of the pump housing and the new impeller with the included glycerin lubricant.
- Insert the new impeller with a twisting motion, bending the blades in the direction of the pump's natural rotation.
- Secure the cover plate and tighten the screws evenly in a star pattern to ensure a proper seal.
- Open the raw water seacock, start the engine, and immediately check for adequate water flow from the exhaust and look for any leaks around the pump cover.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I confirm this impeller fits my engine?
The best method is to match your existing part number to the list in our "Part Number Matrix." You can also verify your model in the "Engine & Model Compatibility" table. If you are still unsure, we strongly recommend comparing the dimensions of our impeller (listed under Technical Specs) with your old part before purchasing.
What are the signs of a worn or failing impeller?
Common symptoms include the engine running hotter than normal or overheating, reduced water flow from the exhaust outlet, visible cracks on the impeller blades, missing blades, or rubber that feels stiff and brittle.
How often should I replace my impeller?
As a rule of thumb, impellers should be inspected annually and replaced every one to two years, depending on engine hours and operating conditions. If the boat is operated in silty water or the pump has ever been run dry, more frequent replacement is advised.
What happens if I install the impeller with the blades bent the wrong way?
Most raw water pumps are designed so the impeller blades will automatically flip to the correct orientation upon the first rotation of the engine. However, for best results and to reduce initial stress, it is recommended to pre-bend the blades in the correct direction during installation.
Is this an OEM part or an aftermarket replacement?
This listing is an aftermarket replacement (not OEM). It is built to OEM-level specifications with comparable materials. Our parts are manufactured in an ISO 9002 facility and are batch-inspected for quality and consistency.
What are your shipping speeds and costs?
We ship worldwide quickly—typical transit time is 5–15 days. Standard shipping is free to most locations; expedited options will appear at checkout if they are available for your region.
What is the warranty and return policy?
This product is covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If you encounter any issues, please contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard window for items that are unused and in their original condition. See our policy page or reach out for instructions.
Safety & Important Info
- Verify images and specifications against your original part before purchasing. If anything differs—even if your model appears on the compatibility list—do not purchase.
- This is an aftermarket replacement part, not an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) component. Brand names and part numbers are used for reference purposes only.
- Professional installation is highly recommended for safety and to ensure optimal performance. Incorrect installation can lead to engine damage.
