Installation Notes

1. Ensure the engine is off and cool, and close the raw water intake seacock.
2. Remove the cover plate from the sea water pump.
3. Use an impeller puller or two pairs of pliers to grip the hub and pull the old impeller straight out.
4. Clean the interior of the pump housing and inspect it for scoring or wear.
5. Liberally apply the included glycerine lubricant to the inside of the housing and all surfaces of the new impeller.
6. Align the new impeller with the keyway on the shaft and insert it, bending the blades in the direction of the pump's rotation.
7. Install the new O-ring on the cover plate, ensuring a clean sealing surface.
8. Re-install the cover plate and tighten the screws in a star pattern to ensure even pressure.
9. Open the seacock, start the engine, and immediately check for proper water flow and any signs of leaks.
