Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and close the raw water intake seacock.
Locate the raw water pump and place a towel underneath to catch any spilled coolant.
Remove the pump cover screws and take off the cover plate.
Carefully remove the old impeller using pliers or an impeller puller tool. Note the direction of the blades.
Clean the inside of the pump housing and the cover plate. Inspect for scoring or wear.
Lightly lubricate the new impeller and the inside of the housing with water-resistant grease or soap.
Install the new impeller with a twisting motion, ensuring the blades are bent in the correct direction of engine rotation.
Replace the O-ring or gasket on the cover plate.
Re-install the cover plate and tighten the screws evenly.
Open the seacock, reconnect the battery, and start the engine. Check immediately for proper water flow and inspect for leaks around the pump cover.
