Use the following references to compare the application shown for this repair kit. Part-number references do not replace confirmation against the engine identification label and service information.

Yamaha 6CJ-W0078-00-00 Earlier OEM reference found for related F70 water-pump repair-kit applications

Engine & Model Compatibility

The confirmed catalog relationship for OEM reference 6CJ-W0078-01-00 is the Yamaha F70LA/F70LA2 four-stroke family shown in later model-year parts catalogs. Because Yamaha applications can vary by year and model code, verify the exact engine identification before installation.

Brand Model Rated HP Stroke Catalog Years OEM Part No. Application
Yamaha F70LA 70 4-Stroke 2021–2023 6CJ-W0078-01-00 Repair Kit 2 / scheduled service parts
Yamaha F70LA2 70 4-Stroke 2021–2022 6CJ-W0078-01-00 Repair Kit 2 / scheduled service parts

Earlier Yamaha F70LA catalogs list the related OEM reference 6CJ-W0078-00-00 for 2010–2015 applications. Do not assume the earlier and later references are interchangeable without matching the complete engine model and service-part listing.

How often should water-pump components be inspected?

Inspect the impeller and water-pump components according to the engine manufacturer's maintenance schedule. Inspection may need to be more frequent when the engine is used in saltwater, muddy water, or sandy conditions.

Is this an OEM Yamaha part?

No. This is an aftermarket replacement repair kit. Yamaha and other manufacturer names and part numbers are used only to identify the intended application and reference numbers.
