Product Details

This aftermarket carburetor repair kit is designed to restore fuel-system performance on compatible small 2-stroke outboard engines. It replaces commonly listed carburetor repair-kit references used on selected Yamaha 3 HP, 6 HP, and 8 HP models, as well as compatible Mercury Marine, Tohatsu, and Nissan outboards.

The kit is intended for carburetor service when worn gaskets, seals, float components, or the needle valve contribute to hard starting, rough idle, fuel leakage, stalling, or poor acceleration. Always compare the carburetor configuration and manufacturer part number before ordering; horsepower alone does not confirm fitment.

  • Aftermarket replacement carburetor repair kit for compatible 2-stroke outboards.
  • Helps renew the float and needle-valve system, seals, gaskets, and related service components.
  • Designed for installation in the original carburetor after disassembly and cleaning.
  • Does not include brass main or pilot jets unless specifically listed in the package contents.

Part Number Cross-Reference

These references are used to identify compatible applications. They are not all interchangeable across every engine model, year, or carburetor configuration.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

How do I confirm fitment?

Compare the engine brand, model code, year, serial-number range where applicable, carburetor shape, and original manufacturer part number. The reference number on the original carburetor is more reliable than horsepower alone.

What symptoms indicate that a rebuild may be needed?

Hard starting, rough or unstable idle, stalling, fuel leakage, flooding, poor acceleration, and inconsistent running can be caused by degraded gaskets, a worn float, contaminated passages, or a leaking needle valve. Other fuel or ignition problems can produce similar symptoms.

Are main and pilot jets included?

No brass jets are listed as included components. Jet sizes vary by engine model and calibration, so reuse the correct original jets or obtain replacements specified for your exact engine.

Why is float-height adjustment important?

The float controls fuel level in the carburetor bowl. Incorrect float height can cause flooding, fuel starvation, unstable idle, or poor acceleration. Use the exact service-manual specification for your engine.

Is this an OEM kit?

This is an aftermarket replacement kit. The manufacturer and reference numbers shown are provided for application identification and cross-reference purposes.

Do I need special tools?

Most installations require standard hand tools, carburetor cleaner, compressed air, and a clean work area. A service manual and a suitable float-height measuring method are recommended.

Safety and Important Information

  • Work only with the engine stopped, cool, and disconnected from the fuel supply.
  • Gasoline and carburetor cleaner are flammable. Follow all product and local safety instructions.
  • Do not purchase based only on horsepower. Verify the exact engine and carburetor reference.
  • Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with carburetor service.
