Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I confirm that this filter fits my engine?
Compare your engine brand, exact model, year, stroke type, and serial number with the compatibility information above. Also compare the part number on the existing filter or in the engine service manual. A similar horsepower rating alone is not sufficient to confirm fitment.
Does this filter fit all Yamaha 150–250 HP outboards?
No. Company-listed fitment is limited to selected Yamaha F150 4-Stroke models from 2004–2006 and selected Yamaha F200–F225 4-Stroke models from 2002–2005. Other Yamaha models and 2-Stroke applications are not confirmed by the company fitment record.
Does this filter fit Suzuki DF300 models?
The company fitment record explicitly lists Suzuki DF200–DF250 4-Stroke models from 2004–2010. Suzuki DF300 fitment is not included in the company’s current fitment statement and should not be assumed.
Does this filter fit Mercury Verado engines?
No. The company fitment record specifically states that this application does not suit Verado models.
What are common signs of a restricted fuel filter?
Possible symptoms include hard starting, hesitation, loss of power, uneven running, stalling, or poor performance at higher engine speeds. These symptoms can have other causes, so inspect the complete fuel system and follow the engine service manual.
How often should the filter be replaced?
Replacement intervals vary by engine and operating conditions. Follow the maintenance schedule in your engine owner’s or service manual, and replace the filter sooner if it is contaminated, damaged, or causing a fuel-flow problem.
Is this an OEM filter?
No. This listing is for an aftermarket replacement fuel filter. The OEM and aftermarket reference numbers are provided only to help identify the intended application.
Safety & Important Info

- Do not install this filter on Mercury Verado models.
- Do not operate the engine if fuel leaks are present after installation.
- Professional installation is recommended when the correct fuel-system service procedure is not known.
