Installation Notes

1. Ensure the engine has completely cooled before starting.
2. Disconnect the battery for safety.
3. Locate the thermostat housing on the engine block or cylinder head.
4. Place a drain pan underneath and carefully remove the housing cover bolts to drain coolant.
5. Note the orientation of the existing thermostat before removing it.
6. Remove the old thermostat and its seal or gasket.
7. Thoroughly clean the housing and cover mating surfaces to ensure a proper seal.
8. Install the new thermostat in the correct orientation, followed by the new seal.
9. Re-install the housing cover and tighten bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque.
10. Reconnect the battery, refill the cooling system, and run the engine to check for leaks.
