Installation Notes

1. Ensure the engine is off and completely cool. Disconnect the negative battery cable for safety.
2. Place a container beneath the engine to catch draining coolant and relieve cooling system pressure.
3. Locate the thermostat housing on the engine block or cylinder head.
4. Carefully remove the bolts securing the housing cover. Note their lengths and positions if they differ.
5. Remove the old thermostat and its gasket or O-ring. Take note of the thermostat's orientation.
6. Thoroughly clean both the housing and cover mating surfaces to ensure a perfect seal.
7. Install the new thermostat in the correct orientation, followed by a new gasket (not included).
8. Re-attach the housing cover and tighten the bolts evenly to the manufacturer's specified torque. Do not overtighten.
9. Refill the cooling system with the appropriate coolant mixture.
10. Reconnect the battery cable, start the engine, and let it warm up. Carefully check for any leaks around the housing.
