Installation Notes
- Shut off the engine and close the raw water intake valve (seacock).
- Remove the screws from the water pump's end cover plate.
- Carefully remove the old impeller, using pliers if necessary. Note the orientation of the blades.
- Clean the inside of the pump housing and the cover plate, removing any old gasket material or debris.
- Position the new gasket against the housing.
- Lubricate the new impeller with a small amount of water-resistant grease or dish soap, then install it with a twisting motion, ensuring the blades bend in the same direction as the old one.
- Reinstall the end cover plate, tighten the screws evenly, and reopen the seacock.
- Start the engine and check for proper water flow and for any leaks around the pump cover.
