Installation Notes

Disconnect the boat's battery to prevent accidental starts.
Close the raw water intake seacock to stop water flow.
Place absorbent pads under the pump to catch any spills.
Remove the screws from the water pump's cover plate.
Note the rotational direction of the old impeller blades before carefully removing it.
Clean and inspect the pump housing's interior for any scoring or damage.
Lightly lubricate the new impeller and housing interior with a suitable marine lubricant.
Insert the new impeller with a twisting motion, ensuring blades bend in the correct direction of pump rotation.
Install the new gasket or O-ring on a clean sealing surface.
Re-install the cover plate and tighten screws evenly in a star pattern.
Open the seacock and reconnect the battery.
Start the engine and immediately check for adequate water flow and any leaks around the pump.
