Installation Notes

1. Ensure the engine is off and the raw water intake seacock is closed.
2. Remove the cover plate from the raw water pump housing.
3. Use pliers or an impeller puller to carefully remove the old impeller.
4. Clean any debris or old gasket material from the pump housing and cover plate.
5. Lightly lubricate the new impeller and the inside of the pump housing with a water-based lubricant or dish soap.
6. Install the new impeller by pushing it into the housing while turning the driveshaft in its normal direction of rotation to bend the blades correctly. Do not force it in dry.
7. Install the new O-ring or gasket, ensuring it is seated properly without being pinched.
8. Reinstall the pump cover plate and tighten the screws evenly in a star pattern.
9. Open the intake seacock, start the engine, and immediately check for leaks and proper water flow from the exhaust.
