This Stainless Steel Skeg Guard/Repair Kit is designed to protect or repair the skeg on MerCruiser Bravo 1 and Bravo 3 stern drives from 1990 to the present with the larger gearcase and oil recirculation system. It provides a durable shield against underwater hazards like rocks and debris, preventing costly repairs and downtime. This guard is not compatible with XR or Sportmaster models.
It serves as a direct replacement for MerCruiser 27051, GlückMarine 27051, WMJNH SRGKHPS0401, SupremeMarine 1900, QUICKMARINE 27051, and mooncar 1000-1007.

Will this fit my MerCruiser Bravo drive?
It fits Bravo 1 and Bravo 3 models from 1990 to present with the larger gearcase and oil recirculation system. It is not compatible with XR or Sport Master models. A minimum of 2-3 inches of the original skeg is required for proper installation.
How do I install the skeg guard?
The kit is a bolt-on application. You will need to position the guard (using a rubber mallet if needed for a snug fit), drill holes using the provided drill bit, and then tighten the included screws and nuts.
What is the benefit of the drain hole?
The drain hole at the bottom prevents water from collecting inside the guard, which helps protect against corrosion, sediment buildup, and damage from freezing water.
