Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I know if this elbow fits my engine?

This elbow is a direct replacement for Yanmar part 104211-13520. It is designed for specific Yanmar GM series models, including the 2GM20, 2GM20F, 3GM30, and 3GM30F. Please consult the compatibility table and verify against your engine's manual or existing part before ordering.

Why choose a stainless steel elbow over the cast iron original?

The original OEM elbows are made of cast iron, which is prone to severe corrosion and carbon buildup over time. Our aftermarket elbow is made from high-grade stainless steel, offering superior durability and a significantly longer service life by resisting rust and material degradation.

How often should this part be replaced?

As a critical preventative maintenance item, Yanmar's service manual recommends inspecting the mixing elbow annually and replacing it every 500 hours of operation or every two years, whichever comes first. This helps prevent sudden failure that could damage the engine.

What are the signs of a failing mixing elbow?

Common symptoms of a blocked or failing elbow include engine overheating, reduced RPMs or loss of power, excessive black smoke, or signs of water/steam leaking into the engine compartment. Visual inspection may reveal external corrosion, cracks, or water drips.

Is a gasket included?

Yes, a new gasket is included to ensure a proper, leak-free seal between the new elbow and the exhaust manifold.

OEM vs. Aftermarket?

This listing is an aftermarket replacement (not OEM). Built to OEM-level specifications with comparable materials. Manufactured in an ISO 9002 facility, batch-inspected for consistency.

Shipping speed & cost?

We ship worldwide quickly—typical transit 5–15 days. Standard shipping is free; expedited options appear at checkout where available.

Warranty & returns?
