Installation Notes
- Disconnect the battery and remove the engine cover.
- Shift the outboard into forward gear to simplify driveshaft alignment during reassembly.
- Drain the gearcase oil into a suitable container.
- Remove the bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase) to the upper driveshaft housing. Carefully separate the lower unit.
- Locate and unbolt the water pump housing. Slide it up and off the driveshaft.

- Install the new gaskets, wear plate, impeller key, and impeller. Lightly grease the inside of the new housing.
