Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I confirm that this impeller fits my engine?

Compare your engine brand, model, horsepower, stroke, pump configuration and existing part number with the information on this page. Also compare the impeller dimensions and drive interface with the removed part. If the model year or serial-number range is not shown, consult the engine or pump manufacturer before ordering.

What are common signs of a failing impeller?

Symptoms can include engine overheating at idle or low speed, reduced water discharge, damaged or missing vanes, cracking, hardening or visible wear. Inspect the pump and replace the impeller if it has run dry or shows damage.

How often should an impeller be inspected or replaced?

Inspect the impeller at least annually and replace it according to the engine or pump manufacturer’s maintenance schedule. Frequent operation in sandy, silty or debris-laden water may require more frequent service.

What lubricant should be used during installation?

Use a water-based marine lubricant or a small amount of dish soap to help the impeller enter the housing. Avoid petroleum-based grease unless it is specifically approved for neoprene impellers.

Are there exceptions to the listed fitment?

Yes. Similar engine models may use different pump housings, drive arrangements or impeller dimensions. The listed references and dimensions should be treated as application-identification information, not as a substitute for checking the complete engine and pump configuration.

Is this an OEM part?

No. This is an aftermarket replacement service kit. The manufacturer names and part numbers shown on this page are used only to identify intended applications and cross-reference references.

What are the shipping and return terms?

Shipping availability, delivery time, warranty coverage and returns are determined by the applicable store policies shown at checkout. Contact customer support before installation if the supplied parts do not match the ordered application.

Safety & Important Information

  • Verify the engine model, model year or serial range where applicable, pump configuration, dimensions and reference number before purchase.
  • Close the water intake and allow the engine to cool before beginning service.
  • Do not operate the engine without an adequate water supply; a dry-running impeller can be damaged quickly.
  • This is an aftermarket replacement, not an OEM component.
  • Professional installation is recommended when the pump, cooling system or engine configuration is uncertain.
