Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I know if this impeller fits my specific engine?
First, check the Engine Compatibility table on this page. Second, cross-reference your existing part number with our Part Number Matrix. If your engine model and part number match, it is a confirmed fit. Always visually compare our product photos with your old part before ordering.
What are the signs of a failing water pump impeller?
Common signs include engine overheating at idle or low speeds, a reduced stream of water from the exhaust, or visible cracks and missing blades on the impeller itself during inspection. A dry, cracked, or stiff impeller should be replaced immediately.
How often should I replace my engine's impeller?
As a general rule, impellers should be inspected annually and replaced every one to two years, or every 200-300 hours of operation, whichever comes first. Usage in sandy or silty water may require more frequent changes.
What kind of lubricant should I use for installation?
Use a water-based marine lubricant or a small amount of dish soap. Do not use petroleum-based grease, as it can cause the neoprene rubber to degrade over time.
The fitment list is broad. Are there any known exceptions?
While this kit is designed to fit all listed models, manufacturing variations in older engines can occasionally cause issues. Some user feedback indicates that minor fitment adjustments are rarely needed. We recommend carefully checking the dimensions (57mm OD x 48.3mm Width) against your original impeller if you have any doubts.
Why choose an aftermarket part over OEM?
This listing is an aftermarket replacement part, not OEM. It is built to meet or exceed OEM-level specifications with comparable materials and performance. Our parts are manufactured in an ISO 9002 certified facility and are batch-inspected to ensure quality and consistency, offering a great value without compromising on reliability.
What are the shipping speed and cost?
We ship worldwide quickly, with a typical transit time of 5–15 days for most regions. Standard shipping is free. Expedited shipping options, where available, will be presented at checkout.
What is the warranty and return policy?
This product is covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal marine use. If you encounter any issues, please contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard window for items that are unused and in their original condition. See our official policy page or reach out for instructions.
Safety & Important Info
- Verify images/specifications vs your original part. If anything differs—even if your model appears compatible—do not purchase.
