Installation Notes

Close the raw water intake seacock before starting.
Loosen and remove the screws from the raw water pump cover plate.
Take off the cover plate and old gasket/O-ring. Note their orientation.
Carefully slide or pry the old impeller out of the pump housing. Impeller pullers are recommended.
Clean the interior of the pump housing and the cover plate sealing surface.
Inspect the housing for scoring or cracks. Significant wear may require pump replacement.
Lightly lubricate the new impeller and housing interior with a water-based lubricant or glycerine.
Install the new impeller by squeezing the blades together and rotating it into the housing until the key aligns with the shaft keyway.
Place the new gasket or O-ring onto the pump body.
Re-install the cover plate and tighten the screws evenly in a crisscross pattern. Do not overtighten.
Open the raw water seacock.
Start the engine and immediately check for water flow at the exhaust and for any leaks at the pump cover.
