Installation Notes
This impeller is designed exclusively for newer Mercruiser brass/bronze sea water pumps that feature a cover plate secured by six (6) 6mm bolts. It will not fit older pump styles that use five (5) 5/16" bolts. Always confirm your pump style before installation.
- Disconnect the boat's battery and close the fuel and water seacocks.
- Locate the raw water pump and carefully remove the 6 cover plate bolts.
- Gently pry off the old impeller using appropriate tools. Note the orientation of the vanes for reinstallation.
- Clean the inside of the pump housing and inspect all surfaces for scoring or damage.
