Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and ensure the engine is off and cool.
Locate and remove the lower unit (gearcase) from the outboard.
Unbolt and remove the water pump housing to access the impeller.
Remove the old impeller, key, and any gaskets or o-rings. Note the direction of the old impeller's blades.
Clean the inside of the housing and the base plate thoroughly.
Install the new key and slide the new impeller onto the driveshaft, rotating it in the direction of engine operation to seat the blades correctly.
Re-install the water pump housing with new o-rings/seals as provided. Torque bolts to manufacturer specifications.
Re-attach the lower unit, reconnect the battery, and test the engine with a water supply, checking for a strong tell-tale stream.
