Installation Notes

Ensure the engine is completely cool and disconnect the battery.
Place a drain pan under the engine and drain the cooling system.
Locate the thermostat housing on the engine block.

Carefully remove the old thermostat, gaskets, and poppet assembly.
Thoroughly clean all mating surfaces of old gasket material and corrosion.
Install the new thermostat, poppet valve, spring, and gaskets from the kit. Ensure the thermostat is oriented correctly.
Securely re-install the housing cover and tighten bolts to the manufacturer’s specified torque.
Refill the cooling system with the appropriate coolant.
