Troubleshooting and FAQ

How do I confirm that this kit fits my engine?

Match the complete engine model and year to the compatibility table, then compare the carburetor and reference number with the parts being replaced. If the model, year, configuration, or reference number differs, consult the applicable service information before ordering.

What are common signs that a carburetor needs rebuilding?

Common symptoms include difficult starting, rough or unstable idling, stalling at low speed, fuel leakage, hesitation, black exhaust smoke, and generally poor engine performance.

Should I clean the carburetor before installing the kit?

Yes. Cleaning the carburetor body, internal passages, and jets is an important part of a successful rebuild. Remove varnish, gum, and debris before fitting the new components.

How often should a carburetor be rebuilt?

Service intervals depend on operating hours, storage conditions, fuel quality, and maintenance practices. Rebuild the carburetor when performance problems or fuel leaks appear, and follow the maintenance guidance for your engine.

Is this an OEM part?

No. This is an aftermarket replacement kit. The Yamaha numbers shown on this page are manufacturer reference numbers used for application and cross-reference purposes.

What shipping options are available?

Standard shipping is available to most regions, and delivery times and expedited options are shown at checkout based on the destination.

What is the warranty and return policy?

Warranty and return terms are governed by the applicable store policy. Contact customer support with your order details if you receive a damaged, incomplete, or defective item.
