Installation Notes
- Turn off the engine and close the raw water intake seacock.
- Access the water pump and remove the cover plate screws and cover.
- Use impeller pullers or two flathead screwdrivers to carefully remove the old impeller.
- Clean the inside of the pump housing and inspect it for scoring or damage.
- Lightly lubricate the new impeller and the inside of the housing with a suitable marine lubricant.
- Insert the new impeller, aligning the keyway on the shaft with the slot in the impeller insert. Bend the blades in the direction of pump rotation.
- Install the new gasket and replace the pump cover plate, tightening the screws evenly.
- Open the seacock, start the engine, and check immediately for proper water flow and leaks.
