Installation Notes
- Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
- Safely relieve any pressure from the fuel system.
- Place absorbent rags around the fuel pump to catch any spillage.
- Carefully disconnect the inlet and outlet fuel lines from the pump. Note their orientation.
- Remove the mounting bolts securing the old fuel pump to the engine block.
- Gently remove the old pump. Clean the mounting surface on the engine block, removing any old gasket material.
- Position the new fuel pump (with a new gasket, if required and not pre-installed) onto the engine block.
- Hand-tighten the mounting bolts, then torque them to the manufacturer's specified value. Do not overtighten.
- Reconnect the fuel lines to the correct inlet and outlet ports and secure them with clamps.
- Reconnect the battery terminal.
- Prime the fuel system according to your engine's manual and carefully inspect for any leaks before starting the engine.
