Installation Notes

1. Ensure the engine is turned off and the ignition key is removed. Allow the engine to cool completely.
2. Work in a well-ventilated area and have a fire extinguisher nearby.
3. Relieve any pressure in the fuel system according to the manufacturer's service manual.
4. Place a catch pan and absorbent rags under the filter to collect any spilled fuel.
5. Use pliers to slide the hose clamps away from the existing filter on both the inlet and outlet sides.
6. Carefully twist and pull the fuel lines off the old filter. Note the direction of the flow arrow on the filter body.
7. Install the new filter, making sure the flow arrow points in the direction of fuel flow (towards the engine).
8. Securely attach the fuel lines to the new filter and reposition the hose clamps over the barbed fittings.
9. Prime the fuel system using the primer bulb until it is firm.
10. Visually inspect the filter and connections for any leaks.
11. Start the engine and check again for any signs of fuel leaks before operation.
