Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I select the correct volume?
Turn the control button until the digital display shows your target volume. The selectable range is 1000-5000μL with an increment of 50μL.
Is the entire pipette autoclavable?
No, only the lower part (piston and tip cone assembly) can be disassembled and autoclaved at 121°C. Autoclaving the entire unit will damage the internal mechanism.
What should I do if the pipette is not aspirating correctly?
First, check that the pipette tip is attached securely to create an airtight seal. Second, ensure the internal piston is clean and properly lubricated. If issues persist, recalibration may be necessary.
How often should I calibrate the pipette?
For frequent, high-precision work, calibration should be checked every 3-6 months. For general use, annual calibration is sufficient. Always recalibrate after performing maintenance or autoclaving the lower part.
