Installation Notes

Ensure the engine is off and cool. Place a drain pan under the existing filter.
Unscrew the old filter. If stuck, use an oil filter wrench.
Wipe the engine's filter mounting surface clean with a lint-free cloth.
Apply a thin layer of fresh motor oil to the gasket of the new filter.
Screw the new filter on by hand until the gasket makes contact with the mounting surface.
Tighten the filter an additional three-quarters to one full turn by hand. Do not overtighten.
Add oil if needed, then start the engine and check for leaks around the filter.
Properly dispose of the used oil and filter according to local regulations.
