Installation Notes
- Disconnect the boat's battery to prevent electrical shorts.
- Access the stern drive's transom assembly where the trim sender and limit switches are located.
- Carefully remove the hinge pin and old switch assembly. A hinge pin tool may be required.
- Unplug the old wire harness connectors.
- Clean the mounting area of any debris or corrosion.
- Install the new trim sender and limit switch assembly, ensuring it is seated correctly.
- Connect the new wire leads to the corresponding harness plugs.
- Reinstall the hinge pin to secure the new assembly.
- Reconnect the battery and test the trim/tilt gauge and limit switch functionality before operating the vessel.

How do I know if my trim sender or limit switch is failing?
Common signs include an inaccurate or non-functional trim gauge on your dashboard, or the trim/tilt system stopping at incorrect upper or lower limits.
What is the difference between the trim sender and the trim limit switch?
The trim sender (replaces 805130A2) reads the stern drive's position and sends it to your gauge. The trim limit switch (replaces 805129A3) prevents the drive from trimming up too far while underway. This kit includes both components.
Will this kit fit a MerCruiser with SmartCraft?
No. As noted in the specifications, this kit is not compatible with vessels equipped with the SmartCraft digital systems.
I have a Bravo drive with serial number 0W... will this fit?
This kit fits Bravo X, XR, and XZ models with serial numbers 0W099999 and below that do not use the newer style quick-connect fittings for the wiring harness. Please verify your serial number and connector type before purchasing.
Does this kit include adaptors for older wiring?
This aftermarket kit includes the plug-style connectors shown in the images. Some original Mercury parts included adapters for older ring-terminal connectors, but this kit does not. Please verify your connection type before ordering.
