Installation Notes

1. Close the raw water seacock to prevent water from entering the boat.
2. Access the raw water pump housing. You may need to loosen belts or remove other components.
3. Remove the screws on the pump cover plate to expose the old impeller.
4. Use impeller pullers or two screwdrivers to carefully pry out the old impeller.
5. Clean the pump housing interior, inspecting for scoring or debris. Remove any leftover pieces of the old impeller.
6. Lightly lubricate the new impeller and housing interior with the supplied lube or a suitable marine-grade grease.
7. Insert the new impeller, rotating the shaft in the direction of engine operation to bend the vanes correctly.
8. Install the new gasket or o-ring on the cover plate.
9. Reinstall the cover plate and tighten the screws in a star pattern to ensure an even seal.
10. Re-open the seacock, start the engine, and immediately check the pump for any leaks.
