Installation Notes
- Ensure the engine is off and the drive is tilted up and secured. For safety, disconnect the battery.
- Confirm you have at least 2-3 inches of the original skeg remaining. Clean the skeg of any debris or marine growth.
- Slide the skeg guard sleeve completely onto the existing skeg until it fits securely.
- Mark the locations for drilling through the two mounting holes on the side of the guard.
- Remove the guard and carefully drill the marked spots using the included 1/4" drill bit.
- Clean any metal shavings or burrs from the holes.
- Place the skeg guard back onto the skeg, aligning the holes.
- Insert the self-locking bolts and tighten them evenly with the provided hex key until snug. Do not over-tighten.
- The entire installation process typically takes less than 10 minutes.

How much of my original skeg do I need for this to fit?
This skeg guard requires at least 2-3 inches of the original skeg to be remaining for a secure installation.
Will this fit my Torquemaster gearcase?
No, this model is not compatible with Torquemaster gearcases. Please check your model compatibility before ordering.
What is the guard made of?
