Installation Notes

1. Ensure the engine is off and the battery is disconnected.
2. Tilt the outboard motor up to provide clear access to the transom bracket and old trim tab.
3. Unbolt and remove the old, worn anode. Note the orientation of any adjustment fins if present.
4. Thoroughly clean the mounting surface on the lower unit to ensure a solid metallic connection for proper conductivity.
5. Position the new trim tab anode and align the bolt holes.
6. Insert the new bolts and washers, and tighten them securely. Do not over-tighten the bolts.
