Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and ensure the engine is off and cool.
Remove the lower unit (gearcase) from the outboard motor.
Unbolt and remove the water pump housing cover.
Slide the old impeller off the driveshaft, noting the keyway position.
Clean the housing and inspect it for wear, cracks, or corrosion.
Lightly lubricate the new impeller and housing interior with marine grease.
Slide the new impeller onto the driveshaft, aligning it with the keyway.
While turning the driveshaft clockwise, press the housing down over the impeller to correctly fold the blades.
Reinstall the water pump housing bolts and torque to the manufacturer’s specification.
Re-install the lower unit, ensuring all connections are secure.
