Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I know if my impeller needs replacing?

Common signs of a failing impeller include an engine that overheats at idle or low speeds, a weak or inconsistent water stream from the "tell-tale" port, or finding brittle, cracked, or deformed vanes on the old impeller during an inspection. Preventative replacement every 1-2 seasons is recommended.

The vanes on the new impeller are straight, but my old one's were curved. Is it defective?

No, this is normal. New impellers have flexible, straight vanes. They will curve into the correct orientation once installed inside the water pump housing and the driveshaft is turned clockwise during installation.

Do I need to lubricate the new impeller during installation?

Yes, it's highly recommended to apply a light coat of marine grease or soapy water to the interior of the pump housing and onto the new impeller. This prevents damage during the first few dry rotations on initial startup.

Does this part include gaskets or the housing?

This listing is for the water pump impeller only. It does not include gaskets, O-rings, wear plates, or the pump housing. Check the "What's in the Box" section for a complete list of included items.

Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?

This listing is an aftermarket replacement (not OEM). It has been built to OEM-level specifications with comparable materials. All parts are manufactured in an ISO 9002 facility and are batch-inspected for quality and consistency.

What are the shipping speed and cost?

We ship worldwide quickly—typical transit is 5–15 days. Standard shipping is free to most locations, with expedited options available at checkout where applicable.

What is the warranty and return policy?

This product is covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal marine use. If an issue arises, please contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard window for items that are unused and in their original condition.
