Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I confirm that this impeller fits my engine?

Check the complete engine model, horsepower, stroke, drive type, and year against the compatibility table. You should also compare the OEM number on your existing impeller or consult the engine service manual before ordering.

What are common signs of a worn impeller?

A weak or missing tell-tale stream, an overheating warning, reduced cooling-water flow, or visible cracked, brittle, or missing blades can indicate that the water-pump impeller requires inspection or replacement.

Is this a complete water-pump repair kit?

No. This product is a single replacement impeller. It does not include a key, O-ring, gaskets, housing, wear plate, or other repair-kit components.

Is the drive key included?

No. The company product record identifies this item as a single impeller, and the package contents do not include a drive key.

Is this an OEM Yamaha part?

No. This is an aftermarket replacement impeller designed for the listed applications. Yamaha part numbers are provided only as compatibility and replacement references.

How often should the impeller be replaced?

Inspect and replace the impeller according to the engine manufacturer's service schedule and the operating conditions. Frequent use in saltwater, sand, or silt may require more frequent inspection.

Safety & Important Information

  • Verify the complete engine model, year, stroke, drive type, and OEM reference before purchase.
