- Install the new impeller by pushing it down while turning the driveshaft in its normal rotational direction (usually clockwise) to seat the blades correctly.
- Reinstall the water pump housing, lower unit, and all bolts to the manufacturer's torque specifications.
- Reconnect the battery and test the engine using a water source ("muffs" or in the water) to confirm a strong tell-tale stream.
