Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I confirm fitment?
Compare the complete Honda model designation, horsepower, stroke, year or serial range and the original water-pump part number. The listed model families include BF75DK3, BF75DK4, BF90DK4, BF90DK5 and BF100A, but model suffixes and serial ranges may change the correct component.
What are signs of a worn water-pump impeller?
Possible signs include overheating, reduced cooling-water flow, an intermittent or weak telltale stream, or a cracked, hardened or damaged impeller found during inspection.
How often should the impeller be replaced?
Replacement timing depends on operating hours, storage conditions and water quality. Inspect the impeller according to the engine manufacturer's maintenance schedule, and inspect it more frequently after use in saltwater, sand or silt.
Is this a genuine Honda part?
No. This listing is for an aftermarket replacement service kit. The Honda numbers shown are reference numbers used to help verify application.
Does the kit include the water-pump housing?
No. The listed contents are one impeller, one O-ring, one driveshaft key and one water-pump gasket. The housing and other unlisted hardware are not included.
What should I do if the old part looks different?
Do not install the kit. Compare the original component and the complete engine identification with the listed references, then consult the applicable service manual or a qualified marine technician.
